2019 Homer Epic route

The route is shown below in the Google Maps window. Pan, zoom and click on waypoints for more info. The 50 km route will complete the blue route once (counter-clockwise) and the 100 km route will start the blue route (also counter-clockwise) and follow the red out-and-back route before finishing the blue route. The 100 km route is preliminary and its use will depend on race-week weather conditions and final approval from private land owners. KML for Google Earth is available here. Checkpoint cut-off times

50 km route:

Caribou Lake checkpoint (at 26 km) cut-off time is 8 hrs after start at 4:00 PM

100 km route:

Caribou Lake checkpoint (at 26 km) cut-off time is 6 hrs after start at 2:00 PM

Freddie’s Roadhouse checkpoint (at 51 km) cut-off time is 12 hrs after start at 8:00 PM

Caribou Lake checkpoint (at 76 km) cut-off time is 18 hrs after start at 2:00 AM
